I Know It- A Review – The Delight Directed Homeschooler

If you are looking for a great math practice system for your kids, you might want to check out I Know It. This is an interactive math practice program available via an online subscripton. I Know It is a math supplemental program meant to support your current math curriculum. I Know It is for grades K-5 grade there are over 600 math lessons that will challenge your student to review their skills or practice some new one.

When I set up our account via the parent dashboard, I was able to set up a profile for each of my girls that were planning to use the program. They got their own profile through our family log in. When I log on, a series of icons pops up and we choose who will be using the account. I was able to set their assignments and track their progress. The whole system is very user friendly and easy to follow.

I Know It can be used as a supplement to your existing math program. It can serve as an extra math tutor for your child. Who doesn’t need a math tutor?? The program allows students to work at their own pace and ability level. The program is aligned with common core standards.

I am learning more and more the importance of building that mental math muscle memory. Math facts need to be reinforces over and over and in a variety of ways. I Know It is a great, comprehensive, user friendly program that can help build confidence in your student as well as helping the parents identify areas where more work is needed.

My girls liked the ease in which they could find their profile and get to work. I like that we can hone in on certain skills as needed. For example, my girls both need extra help with money math… so I can give them an assignement that focuses on coins.

Homeschooling can be intimidating. Homeschooling math if you’re not a math person can be downright terrifying!!!

It doesn’t have to be. I promise you can do this. There are so many great tools out there to help us in our homeschool journies. Take advantage of it and don’t try to reinvent the wheel. I Know It is a well thought out math practice program. You can sign up with I Know It for an individual, a family, or even as a co op! It would be a good idea for kids to already be familiar with a concept before trying I Know It. They can use the program for practice and reinforcement. Students can do a lesson over and over again as needed to help with mastery.
